We are pleased to share the Pathway for Malaysia 2021 report made by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC). Please see the report here.
Pathway for Malaysia 2021 Report is an initiative by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Malaysia, in collaboration with CARI ASEAN Research & Advocacy as the Research Partner. The report was produced in accordance with “A Pathway Towards Recovery and Hope for ASEAN” (Pathway 225) which was endorsed by the ASEAN Leaders during their 36th ASEAN Summit on 26th June 2020.
The report comprises feedback with regards to the issues businesses are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as recommendations to tackle the challenges as the economy gradually reopens. These recommendations were captured from the Virtual Dialogue held on 22nd February 2021 with 46 Trade Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies, Foreign Business Associations and Business Councils in Malaysia.
Pathway for Malaysia 2021 covers 137 recommendations under the three areas of:
· Analysis on Policy Issues Impacting Malaysia’s Business Competitiveness in ASEAN
· Dealing with the Current Pandemic and COVID-19 Recovery Efforts
· Malaysia as the Gateway to the ASEAN & RCEP Markets
