Datuk Wilfred Yong

Datuk Wilfred Yong, a La-Sallian born in Sabah, isthe Executive Chairman of a family business, Aquateak Group Malaysia. Aquateak Group mainly focuses in Real Estate, Oil Palm and Automobile trading in Malaysia. In an era of rapid development in the technology sector, the group is also investing in artificial intelligence software solutions and renewable energy in Southeast Asia.

He is a law graduate from the UK, Bachelor of Arts Australia, Master of Business Administration from the U.S. and also currently enrolled in the EMBA of Tsinghua University, China. He started his own legal practice in the early days in Malaysia and subsequently took on the leadership of Aquateak Group after the passing of his beloved Father in 2016, with whom he worked side by side for many years in growing the enterprise.

Datuk Wilfred Yong once served as Malaysian Senator until 2018 and currently the Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Tsinghua Fintech Club. He was awarded “Top 10 Most Outstanding Youth Awards” at the 8th World Guangdong, China Friendship Conference in year 2015.
